Switzerland
Corporation

A Swiss Corporation is known (in German) as an AG or “Aktiengesellschaft”. A Swiss AG requires a minimum capitalization of CHF 100,000 (Swiss Franc) and no less than one shareholder and one director, with at least one director being a Swiss resident. Generally, a Swiss AG is intended for ‘larger’ corporations where corporate shares are ‘easily’ transferrable in comparison to a Swiss LLC. A Swiss AG is designed for businesses requiring more complex ownership and/or management structures and often viewed as the most credible of Swiss entities, which can be advantageous in developing banking relationships and lines of credit. A Swiss Corporation (AG) may act in the capacity of either a holding company, mixed company, trading company or local company.
